1980's 14K Bright &Satin Yellow Gold Etched Heart Locket, W Germany, MM, 2.27gr. This locket is stamped on the bail '14K, W Germany, and the makers mark-MM'. It measures 19mm wide x 20mm long. It weighs 2.27 grams. The front is bright gold and the back appears to have a satin finish on it. I have taken the locket to our local jewelry store for testing, and it is definitely 14KT gold. I thought it might not be all 14KT but I am assured it is. I thought the reddish color on the hinge might be problematic but he told me it is simply due to the alloys that were used.
