ANTIQUE VINTAGE DOLL w HAND CARVED WOOD LIMBS & PORCELAIN HEAD GERMANY?. I bought this doll at an estate sale recently and I confess that I don't know anything about her. I don't see any makers marks on the doll's body or head. I "THINK" it may be German made, but I don't know for certain. I THOUGHT her arms, legs and body were "composition," but upon close inspection, they appear to be CARVED WOOD. SHE IS MISSING HER UPPER RIGHT ARM. (See photo with pencil pointing to where the missing part SHOULD be.) It looks like some of the wooden parts have been RE-PAINTED. Her arms, legs and head are jointed. The limbs and head are still strung together, but the stringing is getting LOOSE. Her head is porcelain ceramic. She has beautiful life-like eyes. (By design, the eyes do NOT open & close on this doll.) Her mouth is slightly open, and you can see some of her top teeth. Her ears are pierced. Her hair is very clean - possible replaced? Her dress is soiled. She measures approx. 14 inches from head to toe. The head and hair are nice, but the body could use some restoration. I AM HERE TO HELP WITH QUESTIONS ..
