This knife for auction is a 2011 issue Case Limited XX 27 Mint Set 62131 Canoe, 3 5/8" closed, featuring Case's "Aberdeen" Jigged Watermelon Bone (cattle bone) handles , the nickel silver Case Bomb shield , and the factory scrolled nickel silver bolsters . There were only 250 issued of this Case Limited XX 27 Mint Set Canoe and for Case Canoe collectors this is a chance to get this knife without having to get the entire Case Limited XX 27 Mint Set. And the great thing about this Case Watermelon Bone Canoe is that the Bone handles have great color to them. Many times, the Watermelon Bone handles are not as vibrant as these are on this Canoe. This Case Mint Set Canoe is stamped on the front tang of the master Spear blade with Case XX with 5 X's and 4 Dots, dating this as a 2011 issue Case knife, while the rear tang of the small Spear blade is pattern stamped with USA 62131 SS. Both blades have good "walk and talk" snap. The front side of the master Spear blade features the official Case Long Tail C serialization and #022.
