Light, fast, and aggressive, the Vital Trail combines a special, polyurethane-impregnated, abrasion-resistant split leather and 900 denier polyester uppers to give hikers an especially hard wearing upper. The boots' Lock & Load Lacing System uses reengineered ghilles through the forefoot with locking speed hooks in front of the ankle for a quick, quiet and secure fit. Danner Dry waterproof/breathable linings inside deliver great waterproof/breathable protection in the field, while targeted, multi-density foam patterning throughout the boot delivers greater comfort without hot spots and pinch points. Molded, open-cell polyurethane footbeds work with the lightweight Plyolite® midsoles and nylon shanks to cushion, support, and stabilize feet over changing terrain. Built around a sleek and streamlined DT4 last, this boot offers an athletic fit with a tighter heel pocket and a wider toe box that's excellent for on- or off-trail hiking.
