Offering for sale with FREE SHIPPING, a set of 4 vintage Bone China Royal Doulton “The PEMBROKE” 6-1/4” diameter Bread & Butter Plates made in Burslem, England in 1940. The pattern number is V1672. The manufacturing date is faintly impressed on the back of each plate with the pattern number and the artisan’s mark. The Art Nouveau style PEMBROKE pattern features an eye catching, wide scalloped turquoise rim with a tan thin band on a creamy white plate with a white center outlined by a turquoise circle. A vine like garland with turquoise centers is on the rim along with 3 equally spaced, vivid pink roses and raised enamel red flower bouquets The plates are 6-1/4” diameter and 1/2” tall. Each plate weighs 5.2 ounces. They could also be used as dessert plates or snack plates and are a beautiful addition to your table. The vintage plates are used, in very good vintage condition. Imagine the conversations these plates have heard in their 86 year history! There are minor utensil cut marks on each plate. For me, utensil marks are hard to photograph, and I don’t have photos of the utensil marks on the plates. There are no nicks, chips, cracks, staining, or crazing observed. The colors are bold, bright and vibrantly beautiful (in my opinion). Check the photos for the full description and condition. Colors in photos will vary slightly due to lighting conditions and screen color rendering. Look at the photos to determine if this item meets your requirements. I’m happy to answer any questions and can send additional photos if you’d like. If you order (and pay) before 1 pm EST, your treasure, in well wrapped, recycled boxes, gets to the post office for the 3:30 truck pick-up! Otherwise, it will be delivered to the post office the next business day. Thanks for your interest!
