Georges Briard Peony 7.5" Porcelain Salad Plate Repro 19th Century Japan Imari. A lovely piece that would look great displayed on a wall like a piece of art, used as a trinket dish, or as intended as a salad plate. This pretty plate is called "Peony" and features Imari colors including rust, blue, tan and green set against a white background. The pattern is an authentic reproduction of a 19th century Japanese porcelain piece in the private collection of Georges Briard (see the back of the plate). The plate measures 7-1/2" across. The plate is in excellent vintage condition. There are no cracks, chips, crazing or flea-bites. There back of the plate shows slight discoloration consistent with age.
