HERMÈS PARIS Vintage 1986 Statue of Liberty Centennial 100% Silk Scarf France. Dry clean only. Made in France. Pre-owned in fair condition, as pictured. Overall, the colors are vibrant, the silk twill is crisp and the hand-rolled hems are plump and intact. Material: 100% silk twill with hand-rolled edges. This item is a pre-owned HERMÈS PARIS vintage 1986 Statue of Liberty Centennial 100% silk scarf. The Hermès "Statue of Liberty Centennial" scarf - often referred to simply as "Liberty" - was designed by artist Joachim Metz in commemoration of the gifting of the Statue of Liberty to the United States in 1886. This scarf highlights a strong relationship between France and the United States. The design features a portrait of Lady Liberty in center with her iconic pointed crown, surrounded by both American and French national flags, sheaves of wheat, stars, ribbons and torches along the border. The colors are vibrant red, blue, gold and white with a red frame/background. 100% silk twill. Dry clean only. Made in France.
