Knickerbocker Betsey Clark Doll and Box Rooted Hair Soft Body 1975 Vintage. The doll itself has a cloth body with plastic hands and face, plus rooted hair that has never had the protective netting removed. While she has never been played with, she is NOT in perfect condition, as the protective plastic shield on the front of the box is missing after years of storage. Please read the complete description for this doll before bidding. This listing is for The Original Betsey Clark Doll by Knickerbocker from 1975 by Hallmark Cards. The doll itself has a cloth body with plastic hands and face, plus rooted hair that has never had the protective netting removed. While she has never been played with, she is NOT in perfect condition, as the protective plastic shield on the front of the box is missing after years of storage. Because of this, she is loose in the box (but will be tied in for shipping) and the box is in battered, but taped condition. There is some staining to the cardboard of the box, as the photos show. The doll itself has a clean face and uncombed hair, as her hair netting was never removed. Her clothing and shoes are all here and have also never been removed, but they are a bit musty from storage and could benefit from a wash and ironing. Her clothing consists of a dress with button closure at the rear of the neck, an apron that ties at the waist, elastic waist underwear, and non-removable cloth shoes. In addition to her head netting in tact, there is a small pink bow underneath holding what looks to be a tiny wisp of a pony on the top of her head. Face is unblemished and no scratches, dents, or marks are present. She measures about 10 inches tall. She was part of a doll collection I had from the 1970's that was not played with, just displayed and then stored for years.
