Lyman 438 Field Scope (4X) 3/4" Dia Tube | Single Shot Schuetzen Rifle. This is Lyman 438 Field target rifle scope. These scopes had lenses by Bausch + Lomb. The scope is not marked with its power, but it is 4X. The scopedoes not have its rings. I have only wiped this down with a micro-cloth. The scope is not marked with its power, but it is 4X. These scopes are seen in offhand shooting and small game hunting. The scope does not have its rings. I have only wiped this down with a micro-cloth. It would benefit from a little time, patience, and metal polish. The reticle is standard fine cross-hairs. The view is very fair to good, the cross-hairs are crisp, but there is a lot of tiny dust particles on the inside. The last two photos are of the view through the scope. The actual view is much better, and the crosshairs are well defined, which I can't capture in the photo. Please see all of the photos for its condition. I am not a gunsmith or an expert on anything.
