Nina Ricci Paris - beautiful beaver fur coat. Excellent, like new condition! The coat is a women's equivalent size 12/large. Pit-to-pit sizing is 23". Length from the tip of collar to bottom edge is 31" (hip/upper thigh). Purchased in Montreal in the early 1990s and worn very rarely. Stored in a smoke-free, clean environment and well-cared for. The fur, lining, and YKK metal zipper closure are all in excellent condition with no signs of wear anywhere. Very sturdy with excellent materials and high-quality workmanship. The coat was inspected and appraised this summer at over $1000. Beaver fur is a very dense underfur (warmth) with a naturally glossy surface and great durability compared with many other furs. The fur cut is natural, not sheared, and the coat includes an accent dyed stripe across the front and back (all beaver fur). Nina Ricci is a long-running French couture house, and this coat is from the Gerard Pipart era (1960s–1990s) when the brand produced elegant, classic outerwear. Please see all pictures.
