SOUTH VIETNAMESE MARINE PATCH I believe this is an early brigade variation. Prior to reaching division strength a black Republic of Vietnam shield patch was issued to RVN marines at a brigade level. Once the RVN marines were a full division in strength their patch featured the green circle.
