Pair of Georgian Brass Candlesticks – England, 18th Century A fine matched pair of English brass candlesticks dating to the Georgian period, circa late 18th century. These elegant candlesticks feature classic baluster-form stems rising from decorative square bases with shaped rococo-style corners, typical of English Georgian design. The candlesticks are solid cast brass with good weight and naturally aged patina consistent with age. The underside shows old casting characteristics and period construction, supporting an 18th-century origin. The design reflects the influence of silver candlestick forms of the same period. Table exactly as described. Good clean condition and tilt mechanism working as advertised. Seller was at the storage unit to meet us and helped with loading. Postage had been charged even though we collected it - the seller refunded it immediately when I pointed this out. Would buy from this seller again.
