This doll playset is a Pleasant Company product associated with the American Girl doll character Kirsten Larson. Originally purchased in the 1990s (exact year not known). The ruler, slate, and storage bag in this collection of Kirsten's school supplies have their Pleasant Company stickers/tags intact (see photos). Playset includes: Cloth storage bag with leather cinch: Stores all school supplies w/ outer pockets fitted for chalk piece and merit badges White chalk piece Wooden ruler Six "Reward of Merit" badges "The Child's First Reader" book Black slate with wooden frame Slate-wiping cloth Notes on wear and tear: Three of the "Reward of Merit" badges are creased from having been folded. All of the badges have light scuffs/spots on their back sides. See photos. Note that it is easiest to see both the creases and the scuffs/spots in the photo with the badges turned over to show their back sides. "The Child's First Reader" book has a crease running vertically along its front cover where the cover meets the book binding. Both sides of the slate have been written on with chalk and faded markings from that writing are still visible, despite cleaning/wiping (see photos). The slate-wiping cloth has light smudges from being used to wipe the slate. The smudges are too light to clearly capture in a photo, but are noticeable upon close examination.
