The scalloped rim with ochre sponged edge is characteristic of Cantagalli's Florentine production from this period. The base carries the unmistakable blue gallo (cockerel) mark of Manifattura Cantagalli, Firenze — the workshop founded in 1878 reviving the great faenza tradition of the Italian Renaissance to international acclaim.
