RO-SEARCH COMBAT BOOTS 1985 10 R 10R 5-85 w/ INSERT Army VERY GOOD Leather. The soles are crisply stamped 'RO-SEARCH' and '10R', and oddly a '32' and a small '29' (see pics) - I don't know what that's about. Each boot has a sole insert that reads 'TYPE II THIS SIDE UP DO NOT BOIL 10R'. You are bidding on a pair of black leather military RO-SEARCH combat boots, size 10R . Judging from some dirt on the soles and some minor scuffing, they appear to have been worn slightly, but probably not more than a few times. The top edges are stamped '10R PJ 5-85', which I assume dates these to May, 1985. The soles are crisply stamped 'RO-SEARCH' and '10R', and oddly a '32' and a small '29' (see pics) - I don't know what that's about. Small amounts of a sticky white substance have collected on some of the metal lacing loops, but this can be scraped off. Each boot has a sole insert that reads 'TYPE II THIS SIDE UP DO NOT BOIL 10R'. These boots have spent decades in storage, and they definitely could use a good polishing. But there is no apparent reason why they should not shine right up with just a little effort.
