From beautiful French Walnut wood we've produced a ONE-PIECE grip for the Ruger LCR and LCRx revolvers ONLY. The grip has no thumb rest on the either side and thus are suitable for left- or right-handed shooters. The grip is designed to be compact and concealable, maintaining Ruger's idea of the LCR as a "Lightweight Carry Revolver". This version of the grip has been checkered within a well-defined border, and having the backstrap checkered as well, with an "LCR" logo present. These grips surround the gun's frame, providing a consistent wood surface. The existing single bottom screw is used to installed this grip on your gun, with the one-piece grip installed from the bottom as usual. The grip is smaller than the factory rubber grips, while maintaining an excellent checkered surface for an enhanced gripping ability. Those with large hands may find that this grip doesn't allow them a full-handed (all fingers) grasp on the gun as the grip is intended for carry while having the appeal of fine wood. This grip is SMALLER than the OEM rubber grip to maintain concealability. The grip is approximately 3-1/4" long on the backstrap, 4-1/2" around the grip at the middle of the checkering, and 2-1/4" long from the frontstrap top lip to the bottom of the grip. The grip is about 1-1/4" wide when measured at the bottom, where the single grip mounting screw is located, and 1-1/2" from front to back when measured at the bottom. Care must be used to avoid forcing this one-piece grip on the gun's frame as it can be damaged if not properly aligned when pushed onto the frame; avoid forcing the grip or using the bottom screw to pull the screw on the frame. The screw is only inserted after the grip is properly on the frame. These grips are not stained or varnished, but are oiled to protect and preserve the wood. These pictures are samples of the some of the grips; yours will be similar in appearance, but as every set varies due to the natural grain and color no two sets will be exactly alike. Since these are hand-selected wood, the figuring of the individual sets will vary, with the grain clearly visible, especially on the uncheckered areas of the wood. These grips aren't plastic or synthetic; they are fine walnut, with the grips made by craftsmen using modern CNC equipment to allow these to be sold at a price that is affordable. They are beautifully made, and the pictures don't truly show the beauty of these grips.
