SUNDRESS OF PASTEL FLORAL VINTAGE COTTON - MADE FOR MADAME ALEXANDER CISSY DOLL. So soft and strong. I've been sewing for Cissy and other dolls for several years now. Cissy is posing with a borrowed petticoat. Val lace decorates the armholes while 5 Swarovski crystals decorate the neckline.! OOAK outfit made for Madame Alexander Cissy Doll (NO DOLL - clothes only) My sewing experiences started when I was in Jr. High School and carried me through the ages. I made clothes for my children, kept dancers in costumes when I taught Ballet and Tap, Jazz and tumbling for 40 years, and also created many, many Figure Skating costumes for male and female skaters and even some of the Precision Teams while I lived in Alaska. I also made many of the costumes for West High School of Anchorage when the dance group there put on a production of The Nutcracker all Jazzed Up. What a show THAT was...!!! Lori, you outdid yourself on that, girl...!!! I have to say it is much easier sewing for dolls, because they stay the same size and never need a new pattern size. hahaha I've been sewing for Cissy and other dolls for several years now. I use vintage fabrics and laces for most everything I create. I follow the Madame Alexander codes and requirements except for some bodices as I prefer a snug fit. Thank you for your interest in my creations. Today Cissy is modeling a sweet sundress I created from a Vintage cotton fabric that has a really tight weave and feels like brushed cotton. So soft and strong. It is covered in lovely pastel pink and purple flowers. The bodice is a drop waist, scoop neckline that closes with 3 square snaps and is lined in cotton. Vintage satin ribbon in the exact shade to match the light lavender flowers, makes a lovely pinched sash that ties in a pretty bow in back...!!! Val lace decorates the armholes while 5 Swarovski crystals decorate the neckline...!!! My supply of Val lace and crystals is getting low, and the good stuff is getting harder to find, especially at a reasonable cost. The skirt is 60" wide and has the required 2" hem. My tiny "handmade" charm is tacked at the back seam as always. This skirt was made with no side seams as the fabric was 60" wide and there was not enough to make a 72" skirt, however, this skirt will make a full circle when laid out on the table. Cissy is posing with a borrowed petticoat. I took many pictures for your viewing. Questions are welcomed. Thanks for looking...!!! This auction will be nicely wrapped and shipped (next day) in a Priority box. I will try to keep my shipping fee at $10 for a dress, $12 for dress and petticoat. Gowns will vary but be reasonable. Please know seller fees are 14% of your entire order, so we pay fees on your shipping and tax costs as well as the item you purchase. The good news is, USPS sends me the boxes for FREE...!!! My home is smoke and pet free. Thank you again for your interest. Please check out my feedback. Have a lovely day, Donna :)
