Tiny Antique Bisque Head Pierrot Doll Long Boudoir Limbs Of Wrapped Wire Japan. The doll has a wrapped wire armature body, with long looking limbs much like a miniature boudoir doll! The hair is made from a curly floss. He’ll make a nice little accent in an antique doll collection! Offered here for your bidding fun is this darling little bisque headed Pierrot doll in his iconic clown outfit with wide ruffled collar. Mounted on his wooden base, he measures just 5 3/4” tall, or so. The doll has a wrapped wire armature body, with long looking limbs much like a miniature boudoir doll! The hair is made from a curly floss. It is a whimsical little piece, not a home made one-off, but rather one from a whole line of these bisque headed dolls from Japan, dating to pre-World War 2. He’s very sweet and in generally very good condition, though there is some age related wear to note on the fabrics—some overall yellowing and a brownish spot, and a few places where little holes have started in the fabrics, as shown in my pictures. He’ll make a nice little accent in an antique doll collection!
