Vest Silk Brocade Dosa Christina Kim Draped Open Front Ikat Woven Gold Artisan. This vest is made from a stunning woven silk or silk-blend brocade in saffron orange, gold, and ivory, with a secondary diamond-check pattern on the lapel/collar that reads almost like a separate fabric. dosa is a cult LA-based label founded in 1983 by Korean-American artist Christina Kim, and it has a devoted following among women who care deeply about textile craft, quiet luxury, and ethical artisan production. This vest is made from a stunning woven silk or silk-blend brocade in saffron orange, gold, and ivory, with a secondary diamond-check pattern on the lapel/collar that reads almost like a separate fabric. The construction is deceptively simple but very intentional: open front with long draped lapels that tie or hang loose, clean armholes, center back seam, and a subtle vent at the hem. The interior shows an aged silk lining in a warm gold tone. The silver metal "dosa" tag is sewn at the back neck. No size or fiber content tag visible, but the fit on the dress form (size 36/medium bust) reads as a relaxed medium to large. Kim's pieces are made in collaboration with textile makers around the world to keep indigenous craft techniques alive, and this fabric has the weight and hand of Indian handwoven silk brocade.
