Description
A Lady Slippers romantic Fragonard wooden jewelry box. Lady Slippers meticulously transformed a beautifully grained vintage solid wood rectangular shaped box into a plush vessel for jewelry and special trinkets. The top features an ultra-feminine round Fragonard porcelain cameo depicting a man and woman from a long time ago dancing in the garden. Hues of soft greens, soft pinks, soft white, and warm browns decorate the piece. The cameo is surrounded by an embossed gold tone metal frame with an outer border of peppermint striped braided roping in hues of red, pink, and gold. The lid opens to reveal a plus embroidered velvet upholstered fabric base complete with floral and foliate elements with peppermint striped roping along it's border. A vintage linked gold-tone metal chain holds the top open and folds inside the box when closed. This romantic jewelry box is made from all vintage items and repurposed by Lady Slippers. A unique method for displaying treasures places objects inside in their best light, every time the lid is lifted. This custom piece measures approx. 15-1/2" x 10-1/2" x 3-1/2".
