These dolls are traditionally displayed during Hinamatsuri (the Japanese Doll Festival or Girls' Day) to wish for good health and prosperity.Based on the materials, styling, and standard platform bases, this beautiful set likely dates to the mid-to-late Showa period (circa 1950s–1970s).Item Highlights: The Empress: Dressed in a vibrant layered orange and red silk kimono with floral motifs.
