Beautiful, vintage mid-century Japanese Satsuma-style porcelain incense burner (koro). This piece features a striking green textured body decorated in the traditional raised enamel Moriage technique, accented with elegant gold gilding. 4" high and 3.5" wide Design Features: ◦ Two hand-painted portrait windows depicting a classic Japanese Geisha.A fully removable, ventilated lid designed to allow incense smoke to drift out.A gilded Foo Dog (guardian lion) handle/finial on the lid.Supported by four elegant gilded feet.Authentically stamped on the bottom with the red 東藝 (Tōgei / "East Art") export mark. Condition: Good vintage condition overall. The porcelain has no chips or cracks. The ventilated lid is completely intact.
