Vintage L E Smith Amber Moon & Stars Goblets. Set of 5 goblets by L.E. Smith Glass Co., "Moon and Stars" pattern in amber (or amberina) color. The "Moon & Stars" pattern was one of their most popular designs. L.E. Smith later revived and produced this pattern extensively from the mid-20th century onwards, especially in the 1960s. Smith Glass Co. was a notable producer of decorative glassware that was in business from 1907 until it closed in 2004. The "Moon & Stars" pattern was one of their most popular designs. The original design, initially called "Palace," was first introduced in 1874 by the Adams & Company. L.E. Smith later revived and produced this pattern extensively from the mid-20th century onwards, especially in the 1960s. Pressed glass in a rich amber hue. Pieces in the “amberina" color (a blend of red and amber) can sometimes glow under a blacklight due to the manganese used in production. 6” tall, 3.25” diameter.
