Description

Vintage May 1939 FORTUNE magazine Art Deco Train Track Cover~Allis Chalmers. Most likely this was in a pile with substantial weight on it for years?. Up for your consideration is this Vintage May 1939 Fortune magazine featuring the cover art of John O’ Hara Cosgrave II who has depicted a South Western Desert Scene visualized through the undercarriage of a boxcar train running the tracks of the railroad. Inside read interesting articles, stories, see photos sketches and advertising from the late 1930’s. The condition of this issue is acceptable, being complete, having respectably good pages, some light soiling, it’s stamped “GIFT METROPOLITAN CLUB GIFT” on the cover and the seam is flattened. It’s probably still possible to amend the perpendicular seam if it were clamped and held in position for a while. Most likely this was in a pile with substantial weight on it for years? Still a nice Nostalgic readable example from a long time ago! Please use the provided photos to assist in your evaluation! Thanks for your interest!
