Vintage Rosenthal Germany Porcelain Bird Figurine–Hand Painted–Kunstabteilung. Vintage hand-painted porcelain bird figurine produced by Rosenthal, marked “Rosenthal Germany Kunstabteilung Selb B” on the underside. The figure depicts a perched songbird with a blue-toned throat and detailed brown plumage, resting on a stylized tree-form base. Fine glazing, naturalistic coloration, and sculptural detail are consistent with mid-20th-century Rosenthal animal figures. This piece is made in Germany and was part of Rosenthal’s art porcelain production intended for decorative display. This figurine is in very good vintage condition with no cracks or repairs. There is a small glaze chip present (shown in photos).
