ADORABLE VINTAGE ANTHROPOMORPHIC DONKEY S&P SHAKERS W/ EYEGLASSES This is an incredibly charming and whimsical pair of ceramic salt and pepper shakers, a classic example of mid-century novelty kitchenware (Kitsch) likely produced in Japan in the 1950s or 1960s. The set features two donkeys (or mules/burros) in an exaggerated, cartoonish style, distinguished by their: Anthropomorphic Design: Big expressive eyes, open smiling mouths, and large ears with pink detailing. Unique Feature: Each donkey is wearing a painted pair of round eyeglasses (spectacles), giving them a wonderfully quirky, intellectual appearance.
