vintage 1950s Red Dress Handmade Lined, Elegant Size Small Retro Mcm . This stunning red dress was handmade in 1958 by a wonderful seamstress. You can see she had incredible rye for detail and did a fantastic job. The dress is beautifully lined on the top, is exact and well made, and has held up really well over these years. The dress is beautifully lined on the top, is exact and well made, and has held up really well over these years. I was told it was also worn as a dance Dress in the 70s! Its a synthetic satin the working zipper and clasps. The main flaws arw one stressed seam in the front bodice, a scuffed near the collar, a stain on the front of the skirt, and one small seam hole on the back shoulder. (See picture) Measurements taken flat and in inches. Shoulders:15 Chest: 17 with a bit more room in the chest due to the cut of the bodice. Waist: 13 Hips: 19 Length: 38 This dress has a bit of an old lady smell to it and while it will be scent treated while it lives with me, please expect a bit of an odor with your purchase.A good wash with a detergent of your choice and air drying should help get out and lingering smell.
