Antique French Silk Moiré Skirt Victorian Wear Clothing Petticoat 1880s Vintage. What a beautiful skirt. ~ ~ ~ ~ ( Skirt 410). CONDITION : This skirt is in as found, not freshly laundered condition. This piece does have a hole near the bottom hem. It is only in the first outer layer of fabric, so there is fabric underneath that does not have a hole. ~*~Hello and welcome to the Textile Trunk! This piece dates to the 1880s, and has a drawstring waist. The main body of the skirt is in the silk moiré, but the banding at the waist is a woven black cotton. This piece has a wonderful weight - it almost feels to me like it's been starched. Despite some condition concerns (see condition details), this piece would be great for wear, used for study, or as design inspiration! ~*~ ~ ~ ( Skirt 410) MEASUREMENTS : 37 inches long 44 inch waist CONDITION : This skirt is in as found, not freshly laundered condition.
