Vintage Limoges France Porcelain – J.P. Pouyat & W. Guerin – Early 1900s Beautiful cobalt, violet, gold, and rose floral garland design. Made in Limoges, France, marked with both Jean Pouyat (J.P.) and William Guerin & Co. stamps. Lot Includes: (5) 5” Bowls (1) 5.5” Saucer (6) 7.5” Plates (4) 8 5/8” Plates – Note: 1 of these has several chips (see photos) (1) 9.5” Plate This is a beautiful mixed lot of a pattern of Limoges porcelain from France, dating from the early 20th century. The pieces feature a delicate cobalt blue, violet, gold, and pink rose floral garland pattern—a classic design from the Edwardian and Belle Époque eras. These pieces are marked with Jean Pouyat (J.P.) Limoges and W. Guerin & Co., both well-known Limoges manufacturers. This dual mark often means the porcelain blanks were produced by Pouyat and decorated by Guerin. Included in This Lot (17 Pieces): 5 Small Bowls – 5” diameter 1 Saucer – 5.5” diameter 6 Salad/Dessert Plates – 7.5” diameter 4 Luncheon/Small Dinner Plates – 8 5/8” diameter Note: One of these has several chips (see photos) 1 Dinner Plate – 9.5” diameter Condition: Overall very good vintage condition for age. No cracks or repairs. Minor wear to gold and pattern consistent with gentle use. One of the 8 5/8” plates has multiple chips on the edge (please see photos), and the saucer also has several small chips on the edge. The rest are free of chips. These pieces have been stored carefully for over 30 years.
