This absolutely beautiful French jacquard textile dates from the early 1900’s and was part of a wonderful old French bed set. The pink stripes are woven in silk and show a lovely moiré pattern, giving that soft watery shimmer that only silk moiré creates. The cream and green areas are a silk and cotton blend woven in an ikat-style floral design, creating a gorgeous mix of texture and color. It's a medium to heavy weight, so ideal for pillows, upholstery etc. I have many matching pieces from this bed set ~ simply search my store for the words pink ikat and they will appear!~ The original tassel trim along the bottom adds such charm and makes this piece feel full of life and movement. The tones are warm and soft ~ muted pinks, creams, gentle greens, and earth tones ~ perfect for rustic, chateau, cottage, or farmhouse decor.
